CISSN-H

What is the CISSN-H?

The CISSN-H stands for a certified sports nutritionist of the ISSN with Honors.  Those who attain the CISSN-H (CISSN with Honors) distinction have achieved certain milestones as it relates to the ISSN, service to the ISSN and to the contributions they have made to the sports nutrition category (i.e. academics or industy).

Why would you want to attain the CISSN-H?

This honor is particularly appropriate for those who have contributed significantly to the ISSN and to the sports nutrition category in general, but do not have the requirements for attaining the honor of Fellow (i.e. FISSN).  The FISSN honor requires a publication component in a peer-reviewed journal that is not easily attainable by most individuals.  Thus, the ISSN would like to recognize those individuals whose service to the ISSN and sports nutrition as a whole is outstanding.

  • You will have held the CISSN for at least three years.

  • You have volunteered in some capacity at one of the ISSN conferences/workshops (i.e. please describe the nature of your service).
  • Currently works in the sports nutrition category (e.g. academic or industry) or in a related area.

  • You work in a setting (e.g. academic, industry, sports, etc) in which you make contributions to the sports nutrition category.
